Seester

I have a sister.
Lindy is 5 and a half years younger than me, and fits neatly into that little side pocket on the backpack where your water bottle is supposed to go.

She got married a couple of years ago, and still pretty much looks like this:

I'm guessing she sometimes wears this dress to work.

When we were little we took a family road trip to Branson, Missouri, and my dad made us listen to Ray Stevens songs over and over on the way up, as a cruel way of preparing us for the Live show. His plan backfired a little when 8 year old Lindy sang "Get Your Tongue Out of My Mouth 'Cause I'm Kissin' You Goodbye" at the top of her lungs for 400 miles.
After Harper was born, Lindy sent me some onesies she had embellished.

It's hard to truly appreciate this fact without knowing that our people? Well, we're not a crafty bunch.
Brandon's family sews things and makes curtains and wedding dresses from hand and baby bedding and turns coffee cans into snowman-doorstops during the Christmas holidays. Our people bring the shorts to the dry cleaners when the button falls off because we don't know how to sew it back on.

So imagine my surprise when I found that Leetle, my flesh and blood sister had made something cute with a sewing machine. And rumor has it that she also made curtains for her kitchen. You have no idea how foreign this concept is to me. She's made a couple of other goodies for some of her baby-having buddies, some cute burp cloths

and these little-bitty shoes that were cute enough to almost make me want another baby:
I said ALMOST make me want to have another baby.

She called me a few weeks ago and asked me if I wanted her to make a couple of bows for Harper and Emerson. Never one to pass up free accessories, I picked out a couple of ribbons and was excited about getting 3 or 4 new bows for the Harper girl and her new sister.

So imagine my surprise when I opened the package from Lindy to find not 3 or 4, but 38 hair bows for the girls.

38.

Lindy has never been one to do something halfway.

And Harper? She's quite the fan of all 38 of her new hair bows. :)

Way to go Lindy! It's nice to have family with skills like that! Enjoy! Once she has her own kids she won't make much for yours! : )
