Summer Book List- Boy Edition

As I mentioned in my last post, I plan for the boys to read quite a bit this summer, and I am going to love pulling new-to-them books out of my stash periodically throughout the summer.  I have scoured Pinterest (what did we ever do without Pinterest?) and peeked at several book lists for a handful that I thought would interest Dane and Aidan.  Here are some great lists that I found:

At some point I need to compile a book list for the girls.  They have more books than they know what to do with, though, having been the fortunate recipients of their brothers' books.

Here's the boys' summer book list that I have come up with so far.  Some of these I have already, some we will hopefully pick up as we go along.

Gee Whiz!  It's All About Pee (this one's more for Aidan)

The Truth about Poop (this one's for Aidan, too.  Yes, his books have a theme.)

Fergus Crane books

Little House on the Prairie books

The Mysterious Benedict Society books

James and the Giant Peach

Grossology and You

The Borrowers

Where the Sidewalk Ends

The Invention of Hugo Cabret

Danny Dunn books

The Mad Scientists' Club books

The Boxcar Children books

Around the World in 80 Days

From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler

The Chocolate Touch

The Kane Chronicles books

What are your kids reading this year?  I can always use book suggestions for my kiddos!

You should add "Pond Scum" by Alan Silberberg. Both of my kids really enjoyed it. I know Dane and Aidan will too.
