A fall trip to my parents' house is not complete for my boys (all three of them) without making some sort of leaf pile in the yard to jump in.
Little did I know that Brandon was on a quest to build a pile of leaves bigger than my mini-van. Because what's Thanksgiving vacation if it's not digging mud and leaf bits out of Dane and Aidan's nose multiple times a day? Every day that we were there, Brandon and the boys spent significant time raking half the front yard and jumping from the driveway down into the leaf pile.
So please excuse the excessive pictures of mostly dead foliage.
Well, dead foliage and flying children.
I wish I had never seen this picture.
Or this one...
Brandon and Andy decided to switch it up a bit.
Then Aidan wanted to get in on the football action.
Finally, on the last day of our trip, little Zane warmed up to the big scary pile of leaves.
Here's why I had 800 pictures:
And where were the ladies while all of this was going on? Probably shopping, if my memories of last week are anywhere close to accurate.
I'll be spending the rest of this week planning Dane's birthday party and getting ready for Aidan to be a "Go Tell It On the Mountain" singing shepherd complete with costume for his school program Saturday morning.

That first pic is awesome! It looks like Dane jumped off the car!
Brandon's new Thanksgiving tradition is pretty cool, but what will he try and do next year? Jumping off the roof? Trampoline?
: )
those are awesome pics and will be awesome memories....
Uh.... about this adoption thing.....
Yeah Pappy (a.k.a. Anonymous) was never supposed to see the side flip...we would always sneak those in when he was off keeping Zane from falling in a culvert or something.
hilarious. hilarious!
